Mary 'Klibs' Dralle

I first heard about Permaculture in the mid-90's and studied it on my own. About 10 years ago the 'Ranch' began as part of a thoughtful study of our society and its needs. I have obtained my PDC, it is time to make it a reality!

As a Chef, Permaculture Designer, Artist, and Labyrinth Builder/Coordinator, I bring about a new way to think about Food, Education/Exercise, Art, Rest and Spirituality. Come follow me as I share recipes, Permaculture Design Tips, Art and labyrinth insights on how to live a sustainable life.
My cooking style is unique in that I offer dishes that draw from Native American dishes to flower/herb dishes to less exposed ethnic dishes all with an explanation of the science behind process. Many of my clients, from children up to adults, describe my style as one of historian, gardener, chef, and scientist. For me, it is important to understand how dishes came to be as well as the chemical reaction occurring to get it to the end process.
I have been studying and applying Permaculture Design since 1995. Currently, I am the Permaculture Designer for Vista Academy of Visual and Performing Arts Gardens and a SAGE Garden Project teacher for Fields Elementary in San Diego. These opportunities teach children the best way to grow food in small areas for the highest yield. In the past, I have participated in the maintenance of two botanical gardens, San Diego Botanic Garden and Alta Vista Gardens. Also, I have a many private clients with whom I have collaborated the design of their yards into food producing gardens.
In the winter of 2012, my mentor started me down the path of Zentangle drawing. This opened up art for me and I have branched  into Mosaic design, abstract painting and much more. I currently have an adult coloring group, Color Me Joyful, that meets to relax while having a cup of tea and color. My Zentangle coloring book will be available soon.
